The emergence of variety show Running Man almost four years ago, introduced a firmament in pop culture that the world didn’t know it needed. When the South Korea production kicked off its inaugural episode at a rooftop garden where the cast were forced to introduce themselves amid torrential drizzle, it landed a new meaning to the word “unscripted”.
