Hello HAL. A sequel to one of the best sci-fi films ever made - '2001: A Space Odyssey' - is being made.

3001: The Final Odyssey will be shown next year on the Syfy channel.

Arthur C. Clarke's sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey is being adapted for the screen over 45 years after Stanley Kubrick's cinematic version of the original.
