You may not be a fan of the show. Heck, you might even scoff at it. But one thing you can't do is deny how effective American Idol has been in enlisting some of the biggest names in the music and movie industries to be a part of the show's charity event, Idol Gives Back.

Mega stars like Bono, Fergie, Snoop Dog, John Legend, Maroon 5, Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman were among the stars who either performed or made celebrity appearances at the taping of the event at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles last Sunday to an audience of 3,000.
