Appearances can be deceiving. Television audiences know Stephanie Chai as a vixen (she plays one in 8TV’s KL Lights); members of the public may recognise her as a model (and they would be right because she is one, and a very successful one); while the rest may conclude she’s a very attractive person. Despite all these assumptions, she is more – much, much more – than meets the eye.  

Talking to Chai, it becomes clear that she has an equally intelligent mind – she enjoys a rousing political debate and reading heavy tomes like Samantha Power’s Pulitzer Prize winning bestseller A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide – and she’s pretty much one of the guys, which in case you wondering, is meant here as a compliment.
