FATHERS far and near found themselves the focus on the airwaves a fortnight ago on Father’s Day, which is celebrated yearly on the third Sunday of June. It’s a time for children to express their love for Dad through various means and mediums, which include none other than the trusty old radio. Last June 19, more than a handful did exactly that by conveying their personal Father’s Day greetings live on national radio.
Among them were the obvious first-time callers who plucked up enough courage to present their dedications to Dad in quivering voices. You could almost feel their pulsating heartbeats! The things that loving children do!
