THE introduction to CSI: NY was good, not great. Despite having the familiar trademarks of CSI – intriguing mysteries, cool gadgets, crime scene reconstructions and micro-photography – and fantastic character actor Gary Sinise heading the cast, the show was too dark and lacked a sense of individual style and frankly, a bit of spark in the first 10 episodes.
