The opening sequence of Without a Trace gives the facts and figures on how many people go missing every minute in the United States. No wonder there is a unit within the FBI called the Missing Persons Squad whose job is to search and rescue these missing persons if possible. Well, now we know.  

Just like what happened to the forensic team – whereby their profiles have been elevated to superstars, thanks to C.S.I – we have Without a Trace that brings forth these people who work very hard to locate those missing.
