Despite the rain, the masses were in high spirits at the inaugural St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Singapore.
FOR indie music fans, nothing was going to rain on their parade at the inaugural St Jerome’s Laneway festival in Singapore last Saturday. Of course, there was rain, a lot of it. Add mud and slip-sliding thrills to the equation. Held in the green outdoor space of Fort Canning Park, the festival had been the buzz of the region since it was announced last December. Flights were booked, road trips arranged and the masses were set for the Laneway experience – the first Asian edition.
