SHONTELLE Layne has come a long way since her days as an unknown songwriter for Caribbean artistes. Today, the R&B singer-songwriter, who goes only by her first name, is a star in her own right.

The vivacious 25-year-old, who shot to fame in 2008 with her hit single T-Shirt, flew in from the United States on Monday specially to perform at a fashion party organised by designer brand Guess at DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur.
