Daughtry’s second coming

THE band’s meteoric rise is well-documented and although it’s not quite a rags to riches story, Daughtry is now enjoying the fruits of frontman Chris Daughtry’s labour, aka, his stint on American Idol Season 6. Now that the euphoria surrounding the band’s quintuple-platinum, Grammy-nominated debut has died down, the band is simply turning up the wick again with its sophomore release, Leave This Town.

The album displays Daughtry at its best – writing songs about life’s trials and tribulations. Of course, to ensure the songwriting was optimal, partners were brought in and frontman Chris Daughtry relished the opportunity of working, once again, with the likes of Mitch Allan of SR-71 on Learn My Lesson and Hinder producer Brian Howes on Ghost Of Me.
