Graduation Day

Kanye West is eyeing a September release for his third Def Jam album, Graduation, which, will feature Coldplay’s Chris Martin on the song Graduation as well as the track Can’t Tell Me Nothing, a snippet of which has begun making the rounds online. The latter cut, assembled with the help of DJ Toomp, finds West rapping, “I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven / When I woke I spent that on a necklace / I told God I’d be back in a second / Man, it’s so hard not to act reckless.”

West previously told Billboard he’d be working again with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, who played a key role on his 2005 album Late Registration. The artist will make a handful of live appearances this summer, beginning July 2 in Manchester, Britain.
