THOSE bred on a monthly diet of Wire magazine and experimental music should take note of Boon Not Pop, an experimental electro-acoustic improvisation project by Tan Kok Hui (better known as Boon to scenesters). Boon is the former drummer of Moxuan and ChongYang. He currently drums for Furniture and occasionally appears for KLPHQ.  

“The plan is to have a series of a short CD-R format releases first since it’s the best way to get the music across. Boon Not Pop is a mini-album that starts off my personal project that I intend to compile into a full album once more material is gathered,” said Boon of his current DIY release (featuring four tracks) that has started a mail order buzz going.
