Munkys win Thirst

AFTER extensive judging in this year’s Thirst Studio competition finals held on Monday night, dance duo Cosmic Space Munkys emerged as winners of the forth edition of Heineken’s annual talent search. The group, made up of Channel [V] host Joey G and guitarist/ singer Bobo, charmed the judges with their blend of 1970s soul and dance.

As the main prize for Thirst Studio 2006, the duo will jet off to England in two weeks time to work with international producer Paul Epworth in his London studio. The group will return to perform alongside top international acts Groove Armada Soundsystem and Thailand’s Futon at the Heineken Thirst Studio blowout on Sept 16 at KL Tower.
