Riding the Click Five wave

HOW fitting that The Click Five’s first visit to Malaysia saw them performing at the Quiksilver Revolution Tour at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. After all, the band’s current hit song is Catch Your Wave. It seemed fitting that just before they appeared on stage, a jet ski had zoomed around the surf pool where the show was held, creating waves for one of the surfers to show off his moves.

But even that couldn’t distract the hundreds of fans who had been standing, some knee- to waist-high, in water, waiting for the show to begin. Soon, everyone was chanting “Click Five! Click Five!”. It was quite an amazing sight, to say the least, that so far away from Boston where the band is based, people were shouting for them. What’s more ironic is that not everyone from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston, has heard of the band considering four of its five members are alumni.
