Tribute to Li Xiang Lan

Singer Tan Soo Suan’s debut solo CD Fragrance of the Night is now available at record stores nationwide. The album features songs from renowned Chinese music ensemble, Dama Orchestra’s award-winning music-theatre production Fragrance of the Night, which won the BOH Cameronian Award 2002 for the Best Music Ensemble Performance.

This album, like the music-theatre production, pays tribute to the legendary diva Li Xiang Lan – the Japanese songstress who was inadvertently entangled in a political intrigue in Shanghai in the 1940s.
