Up on the upper decks of the Zouk KL main room sat a Finnish couple, blending in effortlessly in the packed club. When asked to describe the architecture in Helsinki, their capital city, Theobald, a native of west Finland who has been living in Kuala Lumpur for the past few years said that, “It’s not very modern but it’s got a certain charm.”
Fitting then, that the band headlining the event that night was none other than Australian eight-piece band, Architecture in Helsinki (AIH). Students studying in Melbourne and those in touch with the indie scene there would have heard about this band’s unique, playground-happy appeal.
