To celebrate the release of her new album, The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah Carey is planning a party that will take over the “crossroads of the world”, New York’s Times Square.
The site of one of the biggest annual New Year’s Eve parties will also host an April 12 performance by the artiste that will be broadcast live on ABC’s Good Morning America. Carey is expected to perform five songs, including the singles We Belong Together and It’s Like That. Three of the songs will be aired live, with the other two slated for later in the week on Good Morning America.
