Weekend concerts at the MPO


Local opera lovers can look forward to a couple of intriguing concerts at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in KLCC this month. Under the baton of Budapest-born conductor Zoltan Pesko, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will cast a spell over audiences with their magical performances this weekend.  

For the two shows, the MPO will perform Schubert's Overture to Rosamunde and Symphony No.8 in B minor Unfinished. The MPO will also perform Bartok's Duke Bluebeard's Castle (Op.11) which will feature mezzo soprano Andrea Melath and bass singer Istvan Racz.
