No tell-all from Love

REPORTS that Courtney Love is writing a tell-all autobiography are untrue, according to the artist’s representatives. “Courtney Love has received numerous offers to write her autobiography,” her spokesperson tells Billboard.com. “However, reports that she is currently doing so are entirely false.”

Love was said to be gunning for an advance in excess of US$500,000 (RM1.9 mil) to chronicle her life’s story, which has frequently been tabloid fodder of late. This year alone, Love lost custody of her 12-year-old daughter with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and has been mired in court cases on charges of assault and drug possession. As such she was unable to undertake an extensive promotion schedule for her debut Virgin solo album, America’s Sweetheart, which has sold just 96,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
