The life of Rhythm & Hues

KUALA LUMPUR: Oscar winner Argo might be the toast of the town in Hollywood after winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year, but right here in Malaysia, the buzz was how visual effects studio, Rhythm & Hues bagged the award for Best Visual Effects for the movie Life Of Pi, which also won director Ang Lee his award for Best Director.

Why the hoopla, you ask? We can proudly claim that it was our Malaysian office of R&H that was partly responsible for bringing the tiger in the movie, Richard Parker and the ocean the movie was set in to life in Life Of Pi. Sadly however, the poor economic situation in the United States have hit the parent company based in El Sugundo, California badly.
