THE 10 finalists of this year’s BMW Shorties competition have been chosen and announced from a total of 48 entries. This fourth instalment of the popular annual short film competition saw filmmakers getting creative with stories of love and life and issues affecting Malaysian society and tying them in with the competition’s theme, “0% wastage”.

The finalists (in no particular order) are: Ahmad Zamhuri Mat Nayan’s Bajet, Moh Chee Loong’s Confession Of Smiley, Chen Yih Wen’s Like Toy Dolls, June Tan’s Success Rate, Tan Ce Ding’s My New Car, Denis Ting Wee Siong’s Who Cares?, Tinesh Krishnan’s Hooked, Mahendra Chidambaram Pillai’s Kickstart, Gary Liew’s Perspective and Mahendran Balasupramaniam’s Plan B.
