Finding the truth again

After months of secrets revolving around its plot, the truth about the film The X-Files: I Want to Believe is finally out there. The film opened in cinemas nationwide yesterday – six years after the popular television series ended, and a decade since its first movie (The X-Files: Fight the Future) hit the cinemas.

I Want to Believe reunites two very-much loved TV icons, Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny). Naturally, Mulder is on some sort of personal quest dragging a reluctant Scully along for the ride. The film is said to be made in the style of the series’ stand-alone episodes very much in the spirit of its earlier horror-of-the-week format.
