Who will win?

The list is out. The question is who will take home the best picture trophy at the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards?

Peter Chan’s musical Perhaps Love and Tsui Hark’s martial arts epic Seven Swords received 11 nominations each. Johnnie To’s triad drama Election and Andrew Lau and Alan Mak’s comic book adaptation Initial D both garnered 10 nods. Despite criticisms surrounding Everlasting Regret, Stanley Kwan’s period drama, it secured six nods. Chen Kaige’s The Promise was not left out, as it picked up five nominations in the technical categories.
