ADITYA Assarat was on top of the world in 2004. He had sat down to dinner with renowned filmmaker Mira Nair in her New York home early that year. A fish curry dinner she had cooked herself, mind you. For an up-and-coming young director, the evening spent exchanging views with a master in the field was definitely the high point of his life.
