The highly anticipated box office debut of Universal’s King Kong was unleashed in 3,568 theatres in North America this weekend and captured US$66.2mil (RM251.56mil) since its Dec 14 release. Narnia held up well on its sophomore frame. The classic tale from author C.S. Lewis, directed by Andrew Adamson, placed second, earning US$31.84mil (RM120.99mil), down a relatively moderate 52% from its debut.
