INCREASING support for female entrepreneurs could boost the global economy by trillions of dollars, according to research released last Tuesday that found women who start businesses face more challenges than men.
Helping women start their own businesses could immediately increase global economic output by as much as US$5 trillion (RM20.8 trillion), about the size of Japan’s economy, said the study, which found there are more male than female entrepreneurs in almost every country.
