Bank reaches out to more SME customers

TO get more SMEs to try out its range of products and services, CIMB Bank Bhd recently embarked on the SME Deposit Campaign.

Open to new and existing SME customers, the campaign offers five units of the Toyota Vellfire, worth approximately RM1.75mil, to be given out to one winner at the end of each month from July until November.

The campaign runs from 1 May - 31 October.

“SMEs continue to be important drivers of the nation’s economy and we are happy to be able to engage with them at multiple levels. Over the years, many businesses have regarded us as their partners and this campaign is primarily aimed at introducing enhanced financial services capabilities to new and existing customers in order to facilitate their growth,” said Effendy Shahul Hamid, chief executive officer of Group Commercial Banking, CIMB Group .

CIMB’s Group Commercial Banking provides comprehensive financial solutions – both conventional and Islamic – to various businesses such as mid-corporates and SMEs.

The bank also leverages on technology to provide strong digital propositions to its customers such as Virtual Account, which allows customers to create multiple virtual accounts to enhance their collections capability, and BizChannel, a digital platform that enables various business functions such as payroll, payments to suppliers, and Financial Process Exchange (FPX) to be performed through a single online platform.

The SME Deposit Campaign is open to all SME customers who have either Business Current Accounts or Business Current Account-I with CIMB.

For every RM20,000 incremental deposit on the average monthly balance, the account holder is entitled to one entry.

In July, CIMB presented the first Toyota Vellfire to the first campaign winner, GDeal Sdn Bhd, an e-commerce platform that offers a variety of products including home & living, health & beauty, and electronics.
