LIFTS at home need not be bulky or boring. They can be statement pieces for proud homeowners.

Aritco HomeLift aspires to raise the overall interior look and feel with a unique style to elevate the living experience.

Aritco Lift AB marketing director David Schill said its lifts could now be the centrepiece of any home.

“Aritco HomeLift has a clean design with a few buttons on its control panel. It uses screw-and-nuts technology which is space-saving unlike the wire-rope hydraulic system in conventional lifts.

“It is also low in maintenance and energy-saving.

“Safety features, especially with the vulnerable group like children, is our priority.

“The door is designed to ensure that the fingers can never get stuck between the gaps and if anyone tries to put in toys into gaps on the floor, the lift will stop working.

“There is also a lock that can be activated.

“A backup battery ensures that the lifts can operate during a power outage,” he said at the Aritco booth opening ceremony at the 19th International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition (Archidex) 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Schill said homeowners could also customise their lifts to suit their taste and mood.

“Owners have the option to choose from a selection of art pieces to decorate the walls. The lights can be adjusted to any colour to suit the mood of the day using the Aritco SmartLift application.

“The application also gives useful information about the usage, even-tual problems and maintenance need,” he said.

Wiitrac Elevator Sdn Bhd is the sole distributor of the product from Sweden.

Its managing director, Winson Teh Kean Wei, said the product has been in the local market for two years now and was well received in Penang.

“The headquarters is in Penang and we have showrooms in Penang, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak.

“We will soon launch a showroom in Kuala Lumpur to tap the market here,” he said.

Also present was CIS Network Sdn Bhd president Datuk Vincent Lim.

The Aritco HomeLit is available in five sizes to carry loads between 250kg or two persons and 400kg or five persons.

It can service up to six floors or 15m.
