Eyeing a fruitful route downstream

In control: Tan says it is important to maintain control over the company’s operations and business direction.

LOCAL durian and fruit-based food manufacturer Top Fruits is planning to expand its downstream operations. Director Iris Tan Sing Boon says some of the downstream activities it is eyeing include processing durian pulps and durian-based frozen food for exports.

However, Tan is open to having partners – in the form of strategic investors – joining her in her expansion plans.
