IN CONJUNCTION with the brand’s 13th anniversary, HLK (Chain-Store) Sdn Bhd recently renovated its outlet in Balakong to offer customers a better experience while shopping for their favourite electrical goods.
“The renovated shop will have 3,000 sq ft of space, up from its previous 1,000 sq ft,” said executive director Daniel Leng at the grand opening of the store along Jalan SS2/2, Bandar Cheras, Batu 11.
Lucky customers were also rewarded with a giveaway of up to RM60,000, including a grand prize of a 60” Smart LED TV won by Eric Dass from Bayu Perdana, Klang.
From humble beginnings as a traditional electrical store, HLK chainstores and its trademark yellow logo have become a well-known go-to shop when it comes to quality electrical products.
First established in 2000, it has transformed into a modern, electrical concept store with a growing customer base and more than 20 branches around the Klang Valley and Perak.
Carrying more than 40 local and international brands, Leng said that their focus was on product quality.
Some of the bestsellers include plasma TVs.
“We are also branching out into IT products, such as smartphones and laptops. This is due to high demand from our customers,” said Leng.
Their emphasis on good after-sales service is one of the reasons why this homegrown brand has grown quickly and enjoyed considerable success, he added.
“We regularly call up our customers to get feedback on the products they have bought to ensure they are satisfied,” he said.
The next step would be to move into neighbourhood shopping malls, to provide added convenience and value for all.
“We plan to do this next year,” said Leng.
They hope to expand to 50 branches by 2015 while continuing to improve their services.
