KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects EITA RESOURCES, TALAM TRANSFORM, Tenaga Nasional, WCT and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to see trading interest on Wednesday while Sasbadi Holdings will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities.
It said EITA Resources won a RM15mil contract for the lift systems for the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit stations.
As for Talam Transform, the group submitted four new property development plans worth RM2bil to RM3bil to the state authorities for approval.
JF Apex Research said Tenaga Nasional has inked a power purchase agreement with 1MDB and Mitsui for power plant Track 3B.
The research house also said WCT was awarded a RM342mil contract involving construction access and permanent roads within the RAPID in Pengerang.
As for MAS, its restructuring plans will be announced soon while Sasbadi Holdings will make its debut on Wednesday.
Overnight on Wall Street, US stocks rose on Tuesday, lifting the S&P 500 to a record, as Wall Street considered quarterly earnings and data that cast a benign light on inflation and progress in the housing market.
Similarly, European shares closed higher with investor concern over events in Ukraine waning.
JF Apex Research said at Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI gained 2.72 points to 1,871.36.
“Asian stocks are headed for a second session of gains thanks to a positive lead from Wall Street overnight.
“As such, we expect the KLCI to be positive today after bouncing off the support of 1,860,” it said.
