Lagenda raises RM475mil from sukuk issuance


The company said the sukuk wakalah is secured and unrated, and will not be listed on Bursa Malaysia or any other stock exchange.

PETALING JAYA: Lagenda Properties Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Lagenda Capital, has completed the first issuance of RM475mil in nominal value of sukuk wakalah under its sukuk wakalah programme.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property developer said the issuance, completed on Sept 17, 2026, will see the proceeds used for syariah-compliant inter-company advances to fund acquisitions, working capital and other purposes related to affordable housing developments.

The sukuk wakalah is secured and unrated, and will not be listed on Bursa Malaysia or any other stock exchange, it said.

Alliance Islamic Bank Bhd and AmInvestment Bank Bhd are the joint principal advisers, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers for the sukuk wakalah programme. Alliance Islamic Bank and AmBank Islamic Bhd are the joint syariah advisers. For its second quarter ended June 30, 2026, its net profit grew to RM56.57mil from RM45.24mil a year earlier.
