BMS Holdings to acquire RM23.8mil Cheras property

BMS said the proposed acquisition is in line with the group’s business expansion plans.

PETALING JAYA: BMS Holdings Bhd is proposing to acquire a workshop together with offices erected on freehold land measuring 4,555 sq m in Cheras, Selangor from Chyen Huat Hardware Sdn Bhd for RM23.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, BMS said the proposed acquisition is in line with the group’s business expansion plans and is intended to support its long-term operational requirements.

“Upon completion of the proposed acquisition, the group can leverage the strategic location of the property in Cheras to strengthen its business presence and the property is intended to be utilised as an operational facility comprising a retail showroom, office and storage facility.

“The proposed acquisition also eliminates the risks of rental hikes, non-renewal, or landlord-related constraints.”
