Aldrich unit receives approval to operate online moneylending business

KUALA LUMPUR: Aldrich Resources Bhd's indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Proficient Premium Sdn Bhd (PPSB), has received approval from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government to conduct an online moneylending business.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the technology and business solution provider said the approval, granted under the Moneylenders Act 1951, was received by PPSB on July 30.

Aldrich said the approval is not expected to have any material effect on the group's earnings per share or net assets per share for the financial year ending June 30, 2027.

The board said it considers the approval to be in the best interest of the company.
