Astro Malaysia unit disposes of Dengkil property for RM92mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd will dispose of a 18,357 sqm plot of freehold commercial land with a six-storey technical building and ancillary buildings Dengkil in Sepang, Selangor, to AIMS Central Sdn Bhd for RM92mil.

 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the property's original cost of investment was RM85.36mil on Sept 1, 2006.

As at Jan 31, 2026, the property had a net book value of RM53.78mil. An independent valuer valued the property at RM85mil as at March 2, 2026.

AIMS, a provider of value-added network services, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of  AIMS Data Centre Holding Sdn Bhd.

According to Astro, the property, which is untenanted in addition to being a non-core asset, will allow it to realise its value at a price above its independent market valuation, as well as improve its capital efficiency.
