Beshom in RM86mil Klang land disposal

PETALING JAYA: Beshom Holdings Bhd is disposing of three plots of freehold industrial land measuring approximately 14.58 acres in Klang, Selangor, to JT Development Sdn Bhd for RM85.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Beshom, which is principally engaged in the wholesaling and retailing of herbal medicines, said the disposal represents an opportunity to unlock and realise the value of the subject properties at a pro forma gain on disposal of approximately RM52.78mil.

The proposed disposal will enable the group to have a cash inflow of RM85.8mil to be used for the acquisition of a new warehouse, erecting a new Tenaga Nasional Bhd substation, refurbishment of existing property and working capital for expansion of retail stores, refurbishment of existing retail stores, product development and supply chain sourcing, among others.
