CAB Cakaran buys industrial building in Pahang for RM2.8mil

PETALING JAYA: CAB Cakaran Corp Bhd is proposing to acquire a single-storey detached industrial building annexed with a double-storey office in Kuantan, Pahang, from Fah Leong Sdn Bhd for RM2.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the poultry company said the acquisition is undertaken to secure ownership of premises currently leased and occupied by its unit Pasaraya Jaya Gading Sdn Bhd (PJG) as a supermarket outlet, office and warehouse.

“The acquisition is expected to generate annual rental savings and mitigate exposure to rental escalation, thereby improving cost certainty and providing greater operational control over the use of the premises.

“This is expected to support PJG’s long-term operational planning and business stability.”

CAB Cakaran said the property is expected to continue serving as a strategic location for the PJG’s supermarket and warehouse operations for the remaining tenure of the leasehold land and building.

“The established use and suitability of the property are expected to support PJG’s ongoing operational and logistics requirements.”
