Pekat subsidiary bags RM113.31mil TNB contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Pekat Group Bhd said its 60%-owned subsidiary EPE Switchgear has secured a RM113.31mil contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd for atender submitted in relation to the supply of 11kV motorised ring main units with interconnector and remote control box of various configurations.

It said in a stock exchange filing the coontract is effective from Dec 29, 2025, for a period of two years.

EPE Switchgear is required to furnish a performance security for the sum of RM5.67mil, being 5% of the contract price, within 28 days from the date of the LOA.

The contract is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings, earnings per share and net assets per share of Pekat and its subsidiaries for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, until the expiry of the contract.
