Wasco 3Q25 profit up, order book strong

PETALING JAYA: Wasco Greenergy Bhd says its order book of RM249mil has remained healthy and is expected to continue generating positive results in the coming quarters.

Its order book comprises RM210mil from its Renewable Energy (RE) segment and RM39mil from its Industrial Energy and Equipment segment. Releasing its results for the third quarter ended September (3Q25) yesterday, Wasco Greenergy saw net profit grow 5.3% year-on-year to RM8.5mil, despite revenue actually sliding 11.2% to RM72.4mil.

The group attributed better profit margin and lower general administrative expenses in 3Q25 for the improved profitability, but said the revenue decrease was due to lower deliveries of steam turbines and softer revenue recognised from after-sales services from its RE division.
