Ecobuilt to dispose of land as part of debt exercise

PETALING JAYA: Ecobuilt Holdings Bhd has moved to dispose of a freehold industrial land parcel in Kapar, Selangor, for RM5.74mil as part of its broader effort to strengthen its financial position through capital reduction and debt regularisation measures.

The company signed a sale and purchase agreement with Sintari Sdn Bhd for the 5,337 sq m vacant lot located at Jalan Bestari 1A/KU7 in the Sungai Kapar Indah industrial area.

The land, which carries no buildings and is currently charged to CIMB Bank Bhd, was originally acquired in November 2020 for RM5.63mil. As such, the disposal is expected to generate a gain of RM115,000.

Ecobuilt said the asset forms part of its non-core portfolio, and its disposal will enable the group to unlock immediate cash that can be redirected toward more strategic needs.
