KUALA LUMPUR: OCBC Malaysia’s first-of-its-kind serial entrepreneur programme has backed SMEs with over RM1.6bil in approved financing since its pilot launch a year ago.

The bank, in a statement, said the OCBC Serial Entrepreneur programme supports serial entrepreneurs who own multiple businesses and are actively building, scaling, and diversifying their ventures.

The bank provides financing solutions and support that enable visionary entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of managing multiple businesses with ease, flexibility and speed.

Speaking at a recent OCBC Serial Entrepreneur event in Kuching, OCBC Malaysia managing director and head of wholesale banking Jeffrey Teoh said he was encouraged by the strong response and confident the programme would benefit Sarawak’s entrepreneurs.

Since its official launch in Kuala Lumpur in July 2025, the OCBC Serial Entrepreneur programme has onboarded over 100 new keyperson customers, reflecting its effectiveness in catering to the unique needs of serial entrepreneurs, Teoh noted.

“We are now excited to bring the programme to Sarawak, a state experiencing a thriving renewable energy sector, expanding digital infrastructure, and progressive policies.

“With this development, a new generation of entrepreneurs is emerging, and we want to support and empower them to capture the opportunities through the OCBC Serial Entrepreneur programme,” he added.

The OCBC Serial Entrepreneur programme provides capital financing and tailored support, enabling entrepreneurs to grow their ventures with confidence.

From payment solutions to industry-specific banking services, OCBC Malaysia enables serial entrepreneurs to focus on business growth without traditional banking hurdles.
