IHH Healthcare unit raises RM2.35bil under sukuk programmes

PETALING JAYA: IHH Healthcare Bhd's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pantai Holdings Sdn Bhd, has raised RM2.35bil under its proposed sukuk programmes.

The healthcare provider’s unit raised RM1bil from an Islamic commercial paper (ICP) issuance with a tenure of one year and RM600mil from the issuance of Islamic medium term notes (IMTN), also with a one-year tenure.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, IHH Healthcare added the unit raised an additional RM750mil from a five-year IMTN.

The cash raised is part of IHH Healthcare's ICP and IMTN programmes based on the Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar principle and part of its sukuk programmes to raise up to RM15bil that it has announced.
