PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Property Bhd
has awarded a RM1.26bil contract to IJM Corp Bhd
’s unit IJM Construction Sdn Bhd for the main building works of a hyperscale data centre at its Elmina Business Park in Selangor.
The contract, awarded via Sime Darby Property’s wholly-owned unit Sime Darby Property (EBP Asset II) Sdn Bhd, encompasses the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the facility’s core and shell, as well as associated infrastructure.
In a statement on Oct 24, Sime Darby Property said the award follows a competitive tender process and construction is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion targeted for the second quarter of 2027.
The company added that the contract award marks the main construction phase for the hyperscale data centre, which it previously secured through a long-term build-and-lease agreement with Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raiden APAC Pte. Ltd.

The hyperscale data centre is part of Sime Darby Property’s broader vision to develop Elmina Business Park into a leading destination for industrial and technology-driven developments in Selangor.
