BTech plans to diversify into property investment

PETALING JAYA: Brite-Tech Bhd (BTech) is proposing to undertake a diversification of its existing principal activities to include the property investment business.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said it is principally involved in the business of environmental products and services, system equipment and ancillary products and investment holding.

“The group’s revenue is largely driven by its environmental products as well as services division.

“While the group continues to focus on improving the performance of its existing business, it has also sought to broaden its income base by exploring alternative revenue streams.

“Given the increasing income contribution from the rental of properties which is currently consolidated under its broader investment holding segment, the group has decided to reorganise its operations by carving out the property rental activities into a dedicated business segment, namely property investment, enabling more focused management and growth.”

BTech said the diversification into the property investment business would provide the group with an opportunity to earn a return on investment in properties either through rental income, and/or the potential resale of such investment properties to derive gain.
