External factors likely to weigh on exports

PETALING JAYA: US tariffs, supply chain disruptions and the potential escalation of the US-China trade war will continue to weigh on Malaysia’s export performance and investor sentiment.

Economists said the headwinds could dampen export growth and and possibly put pressure on achieving the country’s projected economic growth for 2026 despite strong domestic demand.
