Solarvest unit obtains TNB connection approval for 30MW solar facility

PETALING JAYA: Solarvest Holdings Bhd's 33% owned unit, SM01 Sdn Bhd, has received a signed New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement (NEDA) connection from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) which gives SM01 connection and access to TNB’s system for the supply of energy generated by SM01.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Solarvest noted SM01 will construct, own, operate and maintain a solar photovoltaic energy generating facility with its approved export capacity of 29.99 MWac.

The NEDA connection agreement essentially sees TNB agreeing to give SM01 the access to the power utility's bulk power network for the supply of the energy generated by the latter’s facility.

In this case, the renewable energy produced SM01 will be sold virtually to Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Shizen Malaysia Sdn Bhd holds a 49% stake in SM01 while HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd the remaining 18%.
