Alpha IVF to build full-fledged IVF centre in Bali’s Sanur SEZ

KUALA LUMPUR: Alpha IVF Group Bhd, through its subsidiary PT Alpha IVF Dan SPOG Bali (ASPOBA), has signed a land lease agreement with PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN) to set up a full-fledged IVF centre in Bali.

In a statement, the fertility care specialist said the deal secures a 6,343 m² parcel of land in the Sanur Special Economic Zone, Bali, where ASPOBA will build and operate a specialist healthcare facility providing fertility treatment, obstetrics, gynaecology and women’s health services.

The SEZ Sanur is a government-backed initiative that invites leading international medical providers to operate in Indonesia. It is the country’s first SEZ dedicated to medical and wellness tourism.

Group managing director Datuk Dr Colin Lee Soon Soo said with the land secured in the Sanur Special Economic Zone, the company is moving from planning to execution and remains committed to building a world-class facility to deliver advanced fertility and women’s healthcare services in Indonesia.

“Indonesia’s growing demand for fertility and women’s health services presents both an opportunity and a responsibility. Our vision is not only to provide access to high-quality care, but also to contribute to Indonesia’s broader healthcare ecosystem.

“Located strategically in Sanur, our facility will complement Bali’s wellness tourism development, creating a centre that is both medically advanced and welcoming to patients from across the region, while also leveraging potential tax incentives,” Lee said.

The lease has an initial term of thirty years with options for extension, while construction of the facility will commence following fulfilment of the necessary conditions precedent.

Alpha IVF Group said commercial operations are expected within twenty months of the effective date of the lease.

Earlier this year, Alpha IVF Group entered into a shareholders’ agreement with PT Delemont Global Venture to form a joint venture, with Alpha IVF holding 75% and PT Delemont 25%. The venture, under ASPOBA, will lead the development of the IVF centre in the Sanur Special Economic Zone.

The joint venture company, ASPOBA, will fund the new Bali IVF center with a capital expenditure of RM26.4mil over 3 years. Of the total amount, Alpha IVF Group will contribute RM19.76mil (75%).
