’s 65 per cent-owned subsidiary, Southmax Sdn Bhd has secured a contract worth RM51.0 million from the Batu Pahat Municipal Council.
The contract involves the provision of installation and rental services of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system with artificial intelligence (AI) features, panic button and smart traffic lights.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the AI-powered integrated digital infrastructure solutions provider said the contract has a tenure of 180 months, commencing Sept 1, 2025.
In a separate statement, its managing director and chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said with its end-to-end digital infrastructure capabilities, ranging from proprietary AI software and in-house research and development, ITMAX offers unmatched integration and security.
"This latest win is not just a contract; it’s a long-term partnership to improve public safety, traffic efficiency, and urban management in Batu Pahat.
"This contract also enhances our long-term earnings visibility and underscores the effectiveness of our subscription-based model, a model that shifts the burden of capital expenditure away from councils while delivering cutting-edge technology with full lifecycle support,” he said. - Bernama
