Maxim Global acquires nine-storey Southbank Block 6 for RM29.5mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxim Global Bhd is acquiring a nine-storey office tower, known as Southbank Block 6, on Old Klang Road for RM29.5mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said it had entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Magna Tiara Development Sdn Bhd to acquire the building, which has a total built-up area of 43,475 sq ft, on an en bloc basis.

“The proposed acquisition will strengthen Maxim’s corporate image and enhance its branding by establishing its own office tower in a prime location. The office tower is strategically positioned with excellent frontage along the busy and vibrant Old Klang Road. It will boost the visibility and recognition of Maxim’s name in the public eye,” it said.

In addition, Maxim said the proposed acquisition will provide a more conducive working environment, enhancing staff welfare and satisfaction, while indirectly supporting talent retention and facilitating the group’s business growth.
