JTGB wins RM43mil cable job

PETALING JAYA: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (JTGB) has secured a contract from Worktime Engineering Sdn Bhd to lay 11 kilovolts of underground cables for the “North Zone and Selangor Zone” worth RM42.88mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the infrastructure utilities engineering solutions provider said the scope of works would include the supply of pipes and erection of power cables, fiber optic cables, joint and termination, testing, commissioning and all ancillary works.

“The contract shall be for a contract period of 20 months effective from the notice to start work.”

JTGB said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share and net assets per share of the company over the duration of the contract.

It added that the contract will not have any effect on the share capital and the shareholdings of the substantial shareholders of the company.

“The defect liability period shall be 12 months from the date of completion of the works,” it said.
